Newsletter: Balut vendor, weaver from La Union find hope through Bikes for Livelihood

Last August 7, Donate A Bike, Save A Job Founder Gretchen Ho, together with the Provincial Government of La Union, PLDT, Smart, and the PLDT-Smart Foundation, turn over bicycles to some residents from La Union.

With one Facebook post, residents of La Union saw a glimpse of hope in the form of bicycles. Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Joy Ortega and Donate A Bike, Save A Job Founder Gretchen Ho partnered with PLDT, Smart, and PLDT-Smart Foundation to bring ‘joyful’ bikes to La Union.

Moreover, imagine buying low-priced products straight from the farm. Here lies the stories of how some of our fellow countrymen – the ones we call Cordillerans or Igorots – are buying goods directly from the farmers of Cordillera.

Support local has been showing up more evidently at Ayala Malls recently as Pasig City Government and Ayala Malls The 30th staged the week-long bazaar featuring the community's homegrown products recently.
