The percentage of users targeted by malware associated with nominated films in January

As we used to say here in the past, cyberattackers lure in the most popular times to and they will join the hype in taking advantage of it.

And the Malware (Oscar) goes to...

Even at the hype of Oscars, cyberattacks do make (err...) attacks. Obviously, cybercriminals try to capitalize on our interest in high-profile movies.

The rise of Cyberatacks: Star Wars-themed malwares surfacing "free streaming" sites

12/27/2019 04:50:45 PM

As the Skywalker Saga reached its culmination in the ninth episode, Star Wars has been the talk of the world again. While popular films are often used by cybercriminals as bait to distribute malware, the latest movie saga from “a galaxy far, far away” has not been spared.

I am offering my insincere condolences to all the people who have lost relationships with their friends because of spoilers. May that loss makes you all be responsible enough to SHUT UP AND WATCH from now on.

Change Is Coming (sa MMFF)?!

Tirada Ni SlickMaster: 2015 MMFF Edition (Part 2)

12/28/2015 2:46:44 AM

To Upload or Not to Upload?

8/10/2014 11:47:55 PM

Hmmm…

Throwback Post: Why Iron Man Is Better Than Superman (And Any Other Superhero Movie) On 2013?

8/2/2013 11:14:53 AM

Apparently, this was a super-late post made through my drafts. Yes, it's been stuck for a year. Now, I know that Spiderman and X-Men were ruling the superhero movie scene (no doubt). But since I'll publish this on everyone's favorite throwback day named as Thursday, oh, well...

I heard some comparisons between superheroes on which of them really emerged for this year. A little says “Iron Man is the coolest.” And the other would say “No. Superman is always way better than iron Man.”

Though I have to admit – comparing these two toughies may be unfair, as:

Blockbuster Daw

5/3/2014 12:56:45 PM

Ganun? Oo, ganun na ganun nga.

When “Indie” Is “In.”

9/21/2013 8:53:26 PM

(Just My Opinion: The "Kabit" Film Story)

07:49 AM | 01/06/2013
Kabit dito, kabit doon.

Idol Pa Rin Si Pidol: 5 Things I Remember On Dolphy (and more).

07/11/2012  | 11:14 AM

Flick Review: Manila Kingpin – The Asiong Salonga Story

01/05/2012 12:45 PM

nhldsbrrd.blogspot.com

Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story is a motion picture made by Scenema Concept International, distributed thru VIVA Films. It has an all-star cast led by Jeorge Estregan, Carla Abellana, Phillip Salvador, Joko Diaz, Ketchup Eusebio, Yul Servo, Baron Geisler, Jay Manalo, John Regala, Jaycee Parker, Ping Medina, Paloma, Valerie Concepcion, Dennis Padilla, and a whole lot more. Screenplay by Roy Iglesias and Rey Ventura, Directed by Tikoy Aguiluz and produced by Maylyn Enriquez and Leonard Villalon.

It is one of the seven entries on the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival held from 25 December 2011 to 7 January 2012.

The movie revolves around the life and times of one of the Philippines' "Public Enemy #1" in the name of Nicasio Salonga, popularly known as Hito, Asiong, and Manila Kingpin for his Robin hood-like tactics. He stole money from other gangs to give money to the poor. And self-proclaimed owning Tondo and protecting his people from the other gangsters and rivals. He turned out to be popular then and a Liberal party follower on how he managed to fight and brutally kill his enemy hoodlums. He faced a life sentence but managed to evade these punishments. How strong his advocacy for change, and even his untimely death of that fateful day of 7 October 1951.

However, this film was hampered by controversy inside its personnel and its releases. Movie Director Tikoy Aguiluz took legal action that removed his name from the reel, promotional materials that include even in the side of social media and the internet. His efforts were due to scenes that had been re-shoot without his consent. Another thing is the so-called "sabotage." In fact, this film was shown to only 17 out of 51 movie theaters in Metro Manila on Christmas Day of 2011, prompting lead actor, also known as Laguna Governor ER Ejercito, to cry "Sabotage!"

But here's my take:
