The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 35 (Part 4: The Main Event)
04/06/2019 07:35:56 PM
Sixteen matches for WrestleMania 35. Yes. 16. FREAKIN'. MATCHES. Yes, as if 14 weren't enough for a 7-hour wrestling sports entertainment show, right?
And they are back in a similar location – the one they held in 2013. It's strange because its development counterpart was named NXT TakeOver New York and not Brooklyn V. Same fate as Orlando and New Orleans on the recent years.
Is it worthy to put my predictions here? Probably yes and probably no. But anyway, since I have been writing this shit as of now, let's do this pre-take.

The Pre-take: WWE Money in The Bank 2018

I used to argue with one of my friends in the music scene (who happens to be a fellow avid wrestling fan) in the past; saying Money In The Bank will be a non-brand exclusive pay-per-view event by the coming year.
Hey Cris, turns out you're right. Well, with the advent of having PPV events intended for both RAW and SmackDown divisions since post-WrestleMania, Money In The Bank certainly deserves a slot to even be part of the major events in WWE's calendar. One briefcase for either two of the prestigious championships in each division (men and women) seems to be a right decision to convene.

The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 34 (Part 4)

WrestleMania 34 comprised of 13 matches, right? So that means we might not be seeing an impromptu John Cena's challenge to the Undertaker, right?

For the second year in a row, Alexa Bliss is walking in WrestleMania as a champion in WWE. But this time around, she will not face a legitimate threat in Asuka as the Empress of Tomorrow picked another championship belt to battle at the Show of Shows.

Of course, the two battle royals and (sadly) the WWE Cruiserweight Championship is already slated at the kickoff show that might even start before sunrise here in Manila. With over 13 matches in the card, WrestleMania 34 is obviously expected to take more than a quarter-of-a-day long, with over five hours for the program itself. Kinda dragging, right?

After four years, the show of shows is back at the Big Easy and it looked like it didn't really fit well to us (seriously, can other cities be given a chance to host this huge wrestling event for goddamn sakes?).

The Pre-take: WWE Royal Rumble 2018
01/28/2018 11:25:23 PM
It's been a long while since we tackled anything that involves wrestling here at The SlickMaster's Files, from WWE No mercy last year to how did Alpha vs. Omega delivered a real quality wrestling atch after so long, to the locality's end last year with PWR Vendetta, and recently, how a third promotion here in the Philippines will fare up as the “realest deal of them all.”
That being said, allow me to make it up for all of the rundown of slams since the last quarter of 2017 as I recover from a long-time lingering mental block that has been hindering me to writer something else as The SlickMaster (Man, too much preoccupation had taken its toll on me!).

The Pre-take: WWE SummerSlam 2017 (Part 3)

We may have been hours away from witnessing the second's biggest WWE pay-per-view event, the one they called “the biggest party of the summer,” and coinciding with an all-heavy music fetsival in the Philippines.
The 31st edition of SummerSlam is poised to take off on Sunday evening at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York (Monday morning Philippine time), their third-straight tiume in staging the event at the said venue. And for over the decade, SummerSlam were only situated in two venues: Barclays Center and Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Pre-take: PWR Wrevolution X

As much as I want to stray away from making predictions on other wrestling shows, that made me think otherwise; like... why not?
Apparently, this will be the first time I hit Philippine Wrestling Revolution's premier show (simple, a counterpart to WWE's WrestleMania, or NJPW's annual January 4 show called WrestleKingdom) since 2015, during their staging at the crowded (and hottest) Makati Sqaure in May 2015.

The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 33 – WWE Championship Match
04/03/2017 01:13:39 AM
Probably, after Royal Rumble we have already seen in our minds that the 16-time champ John Cena will be defending the WWE Championship against Rumble winner Randy Orton; a clash for the ages – and we mean in both good and bad notes.
The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 33 – Universal Championship Match

It was a lackluster ending in 2002. And I'm afraid that no matter how Paul Heyman may be totally-excellent in delivering his goods to promote the match, it might still end up a bummer.
