The Rundown Slam: WWE NXT TakeOver 36

The NXT we know seemed to reach its end. As I write this, a new era has ushered and following the actual event. NXT taped its last few episodes. Reports also stated that this coming NXT is not what Triple H has been producing for years — Vince McMahon and Bruce Pichard will now handle that (or at least, reportedly).

MLW moves NY and Philadelphia live events

Major League Wrestling has recently announced the rescheduling of its upcoming events in the cities of New York and Philadelphia due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic

Newsletter: Major League Wrestling temporarily suspends promoting live events for 45 days due to pandemic

03/28/2020 06:23:04 PM

•MLW live event hiatus to last at least 45 days
•MLW programming to continue Saturday nights on beIN SPORTS and YouTube

Author's note: Wrestling is one of the many fields that are gravely affected by the ongoing onslaught of Coronavirus. Some promotions have suspended their live events, while others went on in empty arena setups.

While the Show of Shows is still pushing through sans live audience, others decided to postpone their upcoming schedule of gatherings. Take the case of Major League Wrestling as an example.

While their TV show continues to take place, MLW's upcoming events are on hiatus for 1 ½ month, and it began in mid-March and will last til (most likely) May. See this press release below for more information.

Philippine Wrestling Revolution may have reached its pinnacle of success when they staged its biggest show last month, but the promotion isn't finished yet as they will put the Vendetta to close out the year – and the decade that saw the sport rise once again.

Following the highly-successful preview and relaunch event last February, Manila Wrestling Federation, the country's second wrestling promotion, has taken their fully-pledged resurgence in time for a wrestling-laden week at the Elements at Centris in Quezon City last Sunday evening.

10/07/2016 12:52:09 AM

WWE Monday Night RAW unleashed their first brand-only PPV of the new era, and despite the complications of the SmackDown having their own championships, the evening was still called Clash of Champions where all of the five RAW Championship will be contested.

As SummerSlam weekend approaches by, so was the WrestleMania-like of the NXT, and it was staged at Brooklyn; with all the strong and glorious fashions the WWE has ever made for its prospects.

Seeing Conor McGregor waging a fight against the World Wrestling Entertainment might give you a first impression: This guy may have been talking too real here, but failed to realized the latter's superstars were doing it to entertain everyone, and not to do a total fight business like the firm where he belongs to, the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

At the height where suspensions were part of the wrestling game, the recent two items seemingly controversial at will.

While the suspension Ray Leppan (more known as Lex Kruger and Adam Rose) brought him out of the WWE, as well as the controversial shift of throne by Roman Reigns (whom got a suspension of his own after the Money In The Bank pay-per-view), and Brock Lesnar surprisingly getting away with it after his post-fight drug test with the UFC, it certainly raised eye brows when the company suspended Alberto Del Rio and Paige.

Yes, with the latter getting hampered with the sanction in time for her birthday.

We all know what's about to go down late this month: Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton in WWE's second biggest party called SummerSlam. The announcement took place even before Lesnar hit the weighing scale for his one-time show-off at the Ultimate Fighting Championship against Mark hunt last July.

The Debut Of the Inside Wars

Saw the debut programs of WWE's RAW and SmackDown of the “new era.” While things are getting lagged behind due to broadcast problems (thanks, FOX!) I don't think we are far late to make a say about what's happening in the just-changed landscape of the World Wrestling Entertainment. (At least, in their storyline.)

Haven't seen the entire RAW episode yet (so please, FOX, don't screw our viewing pleasure this upcoming Friday night, but this clip just made my day.

Showing Off!

08/02/2016 10:58:15 PM

While RAW pulled off a bunch of shockers to kick off the competition among the programs in WWE, SmackDown Live made surprises of their own: though the WWE Championship was renamed the WWE World Championship in response to RAW's Universal, the way the contenders were determined into a series of multi-man matches.

Classic Catfight

08/02/2016 02:13:01 PM

I might be a week late. But I have seen this for thrice, and this should better be part of the best matches of the year. Why Not because I said so, but we haven't seen the best catfight for months. Perhaps the last time was during their stint at NXT (as much as I wanna count the ladder match at NXT TakeOver: Respect, I personally haven't seen it yet).

The Rundown Slam: WWE Battleground 2016

08/01/16 11:24:38 PM

Before we know it, the WWE already unveiled their new era as SummerSlam approach. And that being said, the last PPV to be staged in the then-typical way was WWE Battleground. Still, no WWE stories came to an end without a bang on it; and by means, we have seen factions getting split (thanks to the WWE Draft happened five days before), and rivalries conclusion – and that includes the brotherhood's championship chase.

It was a night where The Wyatt Family and The Club were torn apart, where a destined to “fight forever” between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn should come into a halt, and where the former members of The SHIELD battled each other for who's the greatest member with that WWE Championship worn on his shoulder. It was also a night of decision on which McMahon will emerged at the top of the game.

And moreover, which brand will control the most prestigious title in the world of sports entertainment? Will it be RAW or SmackDown?

These questions were answered at the unveiling of the WWE Batlleground happened eight days ago at the Verizon Center in Washington DC.

It's about time the World Wrestling Entertainment go extreme and it still never goes out of style since it's still the month of May anyway.

After switching dates and places with Payback, WWE will be staging the most ruthless and the most aggressive of them all, Extreme Rules; and it's all happening at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey this Sunday evening (Monday morning Manila time).

The Pre-Take: Rematch

9/7/2014 7:26:01 PM

cagesideseats.com

I’d like to weigh in here. So, Brock Lesnar dealt John Cena the worst, lopsided, beatdown of his career, and perhaps the most one-sided fight in any WWE title matches history last SumemrSlam. Yes, kids, your hero lost as well as the WWE World Heavyweight title. Awww, how sad on your part, right?

However, Cena invoked his rematch clause. And to be frank, it appeared ridiculous. So, it’s John Cena vs, Brock Lesnar at the Night of Champions PPV event in Nashville, TN.

Alaala Ni Warrior

4/24/2014 9:23:06 AM

Sino mag-aakala na ang mamang ito ay mamamatay nang biglaan? As in hindi mo inaasahan bilang isang wrestling fan.
