Upcoming: Ampalaya Monologues 1st Anniversary

There will be an Amapalaya Day before the midway of the BER season, as Theater in Alternative Platforms will be slating the first anniversary of the popular program Ampalaya Monologues at the PETA Theater in Quezon City.

At some point in my life, I admire the people who have the guts to say such poetic lines in such a way that it appears like an old school monologue—just minus the extra motions such as theatrics.

And though I had no chance to do such spoken word poetry by such saying words with such eloquence, I can only utter words in writing. (Plus aside from the fact that I have a stage freight and a low self-esteem; something that serves as a hindrance for one to do public speaking.)

This piece is all about a 'secret admission' over someone else; it's like you want to make porma on her but you're resisting to do so as if she was—as well as the feelings of infatuation, lust, and even love—is a hindrance. Here it goes:
