My Pick: Banana (A Despicable Me “Mini Movie”)

09:15 PM | 07/27/2013

Here’s a bit of throwback feature. And since the minion fever seems to diminish by a bit anytime from now, here’s something I would like to leave for now.

How about this? Three of the primary cast of minions craved for banana. They all wanted to grab a bite of that fruit. Who won the battle?

July Blues (A Personalized Rant)

7/25/2013 3:35:52 PM

Sometimes, all I wanna do is to rant. I may have done than when it comes to tackling the public issues, but I never much wrote about my personal life (‘coz in the first place, who am I to speak up? Aside from being one of the bloggers whom top authored the community blog site Definitely Filipino? Right?). That is something I have been keeping off. But sometimes, all I wanna do is to rant.

It’s been not a good month for me.

Just My Opinion: 4Ps and CCT

State of the Nation Address Na Naman! Eh Ano Ngayon?

7/19/2013 12:31:12 PM Friday
State Of the Nation naman yun e, kayo talaga oh.
Pero, State of The Nation Address na naman. OO, in short, SONA na nga ulit ngayong taon.
Oo, State of the Nation Address na naman! Eh kaso, ano naman ngayon?

Game Review: Minion Rush

7/21/2013 10:44:19 AM
appadvice.com
I myself had not get much involved into the modern stuff the world offers right now, only except for blogging and social networking sites, until this year came along with a bunch of applications that showed premise and promises of excitement. Apparently, one of them is what they called as “Minion Rush.”

Gameloft developed the mobile game, with the characters conceptualized off from that Despicable Me movie series produced by Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures.

So far, with the Minion fever sweeping the pop culture from almost all over the places of this world, fans of that DM movie enjoyed the miniature-sized, wacky-by-both-heart-and-mind creatures even more. Thanks to that mobile game. Nah, and even yours truly seems to get indulged into this game even more.

The Review: Despicable Me 2

7/21/2013 11:10:31 AM Sunday

The minions have gone crazy again, eh? The only good problem though is that they’re more and they’re even despicable unlike Gru.

Months prior to the showing of this movie, the Philippines became one of the nations who seemed to get struck under the influence and cravings for minion. They’re all over the places – toy stores, every single McDonald’s chain, and even funny photos circulating the social media – be it an user’s profile photo or just a timeline post of a look-alike-slash-twin-brother-separated-at-birth to the nation’s president or even to one of the society’s premier talk show host (does BA-BA-BA-BUZZ ring a bell?).

I saw the first installment of the Despicable Me motion picture franchise a few weeks ago, and ended up with symptoms of a mentally retarded child running all over me. Heck, kidding aside, I envied Pharell William’s genes for scoring and making music for these films. Good job for that then 37-year old fella, who appeared to lost his oars on the mainstream shores when the pop music went “bubblegum” for too much.

Okay, fast forward track to 2013, please?

Just my opinion: Sex-for-fly Scheme

7/19/2013 6:54:27 PM Friday

Bianca and The “Squatting” Reactions

Minion Mania

7/19/2013 7:55:43 AM Saturday

It seems like we’re always been fascinated on what we saw at the movies, eh? Look, motion pictures nowadays played a big factor on controlling the pop culture, especially for the generation of yuppies just like yours truly. Not bad though, considering that the other popular things are just for total commercial sellout purpose alone (even if it’s quite a no-brainer’s choice for some).

These past few months, cinema-goers indulged their pleasure more on the foreign films which are totally different from what the local counterpart is showcasing about. Last April and early-May, we saw people who seemed to had a bit of braveness and same style of arrogance (?) as if he is Tony Starks on Iron Man 3 (like yours truly). Late May to early June, a more action-packed Vin Diesel droved movie-goers crazy after the sixth film of The Fast and The Furious series aired on that wide screen. And just a few weeks ago, it seemed everyone wanted to be Superman just like Henry Cavill, nor a grown-up character from the Monster’s University.

But July 2013 had a different story though. Aside from what Monster’s U’s impact had brought to the avid cinema fans, we have drifted from being a super-humane character into a much, kiddo one. And I am talking about the minions of the second Despicable Movie.

Everyone seemed to get involved into the so-called “minion mania,” eh?

Batas Versus Human Rights?

7/19/2013 | 8:00:00 PM | Friday

Playback: Joey Ayala – "Papel"

7/19/2013 4:45:35 PM

As in parehong literal at piguratiba na ibig sabihin.

Playback: Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams – Get Lucky

7/17/2013 10:13:00 P

Here’s something that caught my ear’s attention. Maybe this song gave me a bit of nostalgic feeling, something that I (personally speaking) have been sorely missing to hear.

At least I still have a lot of reasons why I would still tuned in to my radio. Thanks to Daft Punk’s latest single, I might Get Lucky on my future endeavors.

Who would have thought that this single named “Get Lucky” was now considered as one of the best dance tunes at present time?  The song that was written by Daft Punk and Nile Rodgers (one of the “Chic” or should I say... err, Chics?!), with Pharell Williams joining the collaboration, turned out to be quite a massive hit for some time, a few months ago after it was released. To say at least, the period of putting up everything on work (18 months in total) did really work out for good.

Playback: Sir Rex Kantatero – Pare

7/16/2013 | 7:55:35 PM | Tuesday
