I first wrote this shit a few days before the last most-awaited electrifying showdown in Houston, Texas. However, I might update this thing soon, or maybe I’ll work on a part two to cope up with the other fights that I personally missed watching due to low reception of my free TV channel here at home and unavailability to access the other clips on the internet as well.

Okay, I might be a toughie. But I have to admit, my elementary classmates were even tougher than I do if we’re talking about knowledge in the sport of wrestling, the entire World Wrestling Entertainment and its superstars.

And it’s only this year when I managed to have some time watching the huge events on free TV, just like the old days when Channel 9 is still doing the boyish, if not equally-gendered broadcast programming. Yes, thanks to my now-defunct Cherry Mobile unit that has a free TV feature, I can managed to catch a thing on Studio 23 during its WWE broadcast.

But I’ll also give credit to my father for he granted our wish for more sensible programming thru Destiny Cable. Yes, in case you still rant “Why for the motherfucking hell sakes, the Smackdown is not airing on our local TV?” I can only give you an answer: Try FOX channel – I mean the Philippine version (it’s different from Fox Filipino).

Nah, forget the “scripted” reason though; I’ll say these are the best battles I have seen in the world of sports-entertainment known as WWE.

Yan ang pinakadahilang kung bakit nasisira ang kalidad ng mga pelikula sa Pilipinas, lalo na kung ang usapan ay ang mga kalahok sa Metro Manila Film festival.

Kung ayaw mong maniwala, pannorin mo ang ulat na ito ni Jove Francisco na umere sa palabas na Reaksyon ng TV5.

Sa totoo lang, kahit wala pa ang segment na ito ay solido na ang pahayag ni Direk Joey Reyes ukol sa Metro Manila Film Festival. Naalala ko pa rin ang solidong “direk statement” sa kanyang segment sa palabas na Showbiz Police.

Next year, pakisabihan nga ang mga magulang niyo na tawagin kaming "ninong" kahit hindi araw ng Pasko ha? HINDI yung tatawagin kang "tito" pag ordinaryong araw lang, tapos kapag December 25 na, "NINONG! Pamasko ko?" ang isusumbat, ni hindi pa nga kayo tinuruan kung paano ang tamang pagmamano eh.

Salamat sa isang brand ng iced tea, na medyo kahawig pa ata ng pangalan ko, at nauso ang acronym na S.M.P. – o sa madaling sabi, Samahan ng Malalamig Ang Pasko. Lakas talaga sa atin ang copywriter ng adversiting agency na gumawa ng TV commercial nun, no?

Ah, talaga lang ha? SMP ka ha? Parang Single at Mapag-isa sa Pasko?

Oh, eh ano naman ngayon? Masyadong maaga ang timing ng unang bersyon ng sulatin na ito dahil Oktubre pa lang nun ay may ginawa na akong ganito.

Pre-script: Una akong nagsulat ng draft nito noong Pebrero 2012 pa. Sa kasamaang palad nga lang ay 'di ko siya naretrieve. AT siguro, mas okay na siyang isulat ko sa wikang Filipino tutal aminado naman ang inyong lingkod na sumasablay din ako paminsan-minsan sa pagsusulat ng Ingles. Anyway....

I-set aside muna natin ang dahilan na "meron namang Jeepney Tv eh!" o pati yung Fox Filipino.Tol, hindi lahat sa atin ay may cable (kahit ang inyong lingkod - wala ring cable). Kung may time machine lang ako, siguro babalik ako sa mga araw at gabi na umeere ang mga ganitong palabas.

Pero maliban pa sa mga sitcom at gag shows, isama mo na rin ang pagpapalabs ng mga pelikula, ito ang mga palabas na sa tingin ng inyong lingkod, at dapat na umeere pa as panahon ngayon. Ang mga tinampok o sa artikulong ito ay ang mga palabas na umere sa nakalipas na mga taon (sensya na, di ko matantiya).

It’s not very difficult to say “goodbye,” when you really want to utter “please, stay with me (minus the displaying of Agnes’ eyes).” It’s like you can fake the world, but you can never ever deny your true self, isn't it?

When Marriage Proposals Are "So Mainstream"

Marriage proposals may be so sweet, as long as they convey the message PROPERLY. Yes, I mean to emphasize the last word of my first sentence by typing them in ALL CAPS.

Why did I say so? It may be sweet, but at the same time, isn’t that so annoying when proposals have gone mainstream for too much? And I am not pertaining to the pop culture nor bullshits that aired on our respective idiot boxes, eh? As well as we hear on our radio and read on the circulation units.

Then, what the heck am I talking about? Dig this.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for love, and I’m for romance as long as it is shown properly and not exhibiting any badass cases of excessive P.D.A.

But… this? Do you call this shit a marriage proposal? What a BULLSHIT.

Forgive me for posting such events a little bit late than the usual, but here's something that me and my fellow writers on both Definitely Filipino and Kicker Daily websites have spotted last month. 

Along with the hundreds of media personnel and as well as bloggers in attendance, we flocked the vicinity of F1 Hotel in Bonifacio Global City for the yearly edition of Miss Earth 2013. Carousel Productions organized the entire series of events.
