The Scene Around: PBA Manila Clasico Semis Game 5

2/10/2014 12:43:34 PM

It’s been more than a year since the last time I watched a PBA game live from the venue itself.
With an exciting vibe on Game 5 with then teams Ginebra and San Mig tied with 2 apiece in their Philippine Cup semifinals, I took a chance to grab a ticket and a seat (though we can’t blame if things nowadays are kinda expensive) to the Big Dome to witness who will about to take a 3-2 lead in the 2014 PLDT HOME-DSL All-Filipino cup.

24 Things On My 2014 Bucketlist

2/7/2014 7:43:50 AM

I know, New Year is way too over now. It’s already the 37th day of the year as of this writing. But who cares? Everything changes anyway. We all have our plans whether it is the start, the ending or even just at the middle-part of our times.

But as 2014 goes by, I have a lot of things in my mind. Maybe, something that  I personally want to ponder on. And since I will be turning 24 for this year (and also, it’s my year if were talking about Chinese horoscope here), I have thought of doing this, at least for now.

Some things that I will might change or plan on. Though I have to admit, not everything that I will write here will happen exactly the way I wanted it. Not all 24 items that I am posting here will be guaranteed.
But anyway, here it goes. 24 things I am going to do in 2014.

Sorry?!

2/5/2014 4:35:43 PM

“Sorry,” is all that you can say…

Talk About Juan's Art

2/5/2014 5:44:59 PM

Meanwhile, let’s talk about art. No, it’s not just my opinion for art’s sake like the way I did on August 2011. What I mean is… this!

I’ll tell you, “Yes, it is! Definitely!” And I should recommend you to check this guy’s artworks.

Tunay na Showbiz Couple - Drew and Iya

2/4/2014 8:21:25 AM

Bakit sila? Ewan ko. ‘De.

The Rise Of The News Channels

8/3/2013 12:05:34 PM

The Review: The Wolf of Wall Street

2/1/2014 10:16:14 AM

I used to wonder before about this movie’s screenplay as I have seen its trailer, plus the awards they garnered at the Academy Awards. And it seems that really convinced me to watch the flick entitled “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

That time though it’s like these ‘desperate measures’ are haunting me as TWOWS was only available to the Metropolitan’s selected cinemas, especially with the advent of 47 Ronin, Bride for Rent, and some surviving MMFF entries routing the movie houses to make sales.

Wait a second. What the hell is this ‘wolf of wall street?’

Sabi Ng Isa, Sabi Ng Kabila

1/28/2014 12:57:11 PM

When Cable Gives You Sensible Programming

12/20/2013 3:32:04 PM

True enough. Cable offers you a wide variety of stuff your free TV can’t give you, from movies to other canned shows to much deeper news updates, and more frequent action-packed programs.

I remember seeing a bunch of Facebook comments suggesting me to try for a cable subscription due to my super-irate posts regarding the mediocrity of our mainstream media.

Here’s the thing. I’d still prefer the analog version of the cable services over the digitalized ones as they may be clear, but if they screwed up, it’ll have huge impact on you. You’re seeing not-so-vivid images like the ones you are seeing in a pirated DVD version of your favorite flicks.

Plus the digibox can cost you an addition to your electricity bills. Ouch. Come to think that the power rate hike nowadays triggered fiery rants from the public.

But anyway, I’m not here to diss the cable. In fact, despite the costly thingy, I love it. Though I have to admit, if at a given time where I can spend the entire week watching at my couch potato (though it still seems to be impossible anyway), I might chance upon these:

2014 na! Eh Ano Ngayon?

1/27/2014 9:13:24 AM

The Review: 10,000 Hours

1/25/2014 10:14:56 PM

Perhaps, people used to wonder why this thing is such a hit. How on earth have they managed to garner 14 awards at the Metropolitan Manila Film Festival (it could have been reduced if some other entries haven’t got a ‘snub’)?

How did they do so, considering that: first, it is not a ‘family movie;’ second, it seems a politically-themed one; and third, they are running on the middle or downside of its box office rankings?

Ibalik Ang Death Penalty?

1/24/2014 3:30:04 PM

When The Philippines Need "The Punisher."

1/23/2014 3:17:29 PM

10 Worthless Stories of 2013

1/21/2014 12:55:26 PM
