Flick Review: Guardians of the Galaxy

If you want to make a different superhero movie, you need four things: a twisted fusion of action and comedy, different plot style, never-much-heard before characters, and a nostalgic soundtrack list.

Cause I think that formula comprised the recognition that Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy earned. Prior to watching this 125-minuter, I have seen a lot of movie reviews and true enough — they gave this thing a high-rated scores. Even the legitimate critics from Rotten Tomatoes are counted, considering that GoTG was not a very serious-mattered picture in the first place.

If wrestling is only for tough guys (how we wish, right?), well, think again.

As much as we would like to think of any sort of hardcore awesomeness thing like professional wrestling, we're in the reality where kids younger than we are (during our respective childhood eras) have much louder fan voice. No wonder why they're a fan of John Cena (sometimes, “fuck PG” was all I can say).

And maybe, 'cause everything is all in the power of your hands, so was this child. His name is Connor Michalek, a then-six year old wrestling fan on Pennsylvania, whose battling a tumor that affected both his brain and spinal column.

Apparently, this was a super-late post made through my drafts. Yes, it's been stuck for a year. Now, I know that Spiderman and X-Men were ruling the superhero movie scene (no doubt). But since I'll publish this on everyone's favorite throwback day named as Thursday, oh, well...

I heard some comparisons between superheroes on which of them really emerged for this year. A little says “Iron Man is the coolest.” And the other would say “No. Superman is always way better than iron Man.”

It seems rare that a movie franchise will set their fifth sequel nowadays, considering that people’s expectation usually looms up, which also means that disappointments can even occur more frequently.

And we’re not even talking about either action or horror here, huh?; but a dance-themed drama instead.

Look, Step Up All In was the fifth Step Up movie ever filmed since its formal inception in 2007, with the previous instalment came just a little bit less two years ago. And I remember watching that flick over HBO with that flashy mob.

May usap-usapan na planong itaas sa sampung piso (P10) ang pasahe sa mga pampasaherong jeepney, mula sa dating walong piso at limampung sentimo (P8.50) na presyo nito. Napanood ko nga lang ito bilang isa sa mga balita sa isang morning show sa isa sa mga higanteng TV network.

I don't know why it took me  some two months to appreciate this track. I know, Kendrick Lamar's the new face of current mainstream rap music (you can't call him God since he's too young, and Eminem still ruled that world at all), and Alicia Keys we have in this 2014 soundtrack was not the same dudette you listened on 2013 (with that high-belting song “Girl on Fire”), nor even during the past decade where she sounded like that vintage Motown music.

But this? Heck, one good collaboration at all.
