Last week, ito ang gumalantang sa atin: ang pagkamatay ng komedyanteng si Robin Williams. 63 anyos lamang siya. Kasabay rin nito ang pagkadakip sa isa sa mga pinakawanted sa bansa na si Jovito Palparan.

Pero ito ang mas pag-usapan natin. Aniya, nag-suicide si Williams. Nakatali sa kanyang leeg ang kanyang sinturon. As in nagpatiwakal.

So, since I just put my hands on which side will prevail on John Cena and Brock Lesnar feud for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, might as well give my take on the upcoming pay-per-view itself, SummerSlam!

Yes, the next biggest pay-per-view offering after Wrestlemania.

Blockbuster cards are expected to pile up patrons inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the sixth straight time. However, some fans have been sickening of SummerSlam considering the outcome last year.

Nah, I might foresee another “shades of SS ’13” here in case.

Wala na sigurong mas sasaklap pa kesa sa isang sitwqasyong tulad nito:  wala sa menu nila ang inoorder mong pagkain. Nactually, mali pala: anudun nga sa listrahan nial, akso walang available dahil ubos ang stock. And dahilan kung bakit ubos ang stock? Walang nagdeliver. At bakit walang nagdeliver?

Nag-upgrade daw kasi ng sistema.

Kaya pala ang daming umaangal no? Kahit hiyaw nila ng “isa pa, isa pa, isa pang Chieckenjoy!” eh wala naman palang dumarating!

Ito ang gumimbal sa mundo ng pelikula noong nakaraang weekend. Ang mga pelikulang parte ng Cinemalaya 2012 at 2013 ay inupload sa website nito.

Pero bakit nga ba nagmumukmok ang mga filmmaker dito?

Unauthorized daw kasi. Hindi ito nagbigay ng pahintulot o pasintabi man lang sa mga taong gumawa nito.

Hindi ako fan ng librong ito. At kung sakali man na ipalabas rin ito sa Pilipinas, ay hindi ko rin ito mapanood (dahil malamang, hindi rin naman ako interesado). Pero para i-ban ang movie adaptation ng librong 50 Shades of Grey sa Pilipinas? Teka, malaking kalokohan yata ‘to ah.

Nagsulat ng liham ang Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines sa Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB)  na naglalayong i-ban ang naturang pelikula sa bansa. Nakatakdang ipalabas ang 50 Shades of Grey sa darating na Valentines Day sa 2015.

Flick Review: Guardians of the Galaxy

If you want to make a different superhero movie, you need four things: a twisted fusion of action and comedy, different plot style, never-much-heard before characters, and a nostalgic soundtrack list.

Cause I think that formula comprised the recognition that Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy earned. Prior to watching this 125-minuter, I have seen a lot of movie reviews and true enough — they gave this thing a high-rated scores. Even the legitimate critics from Rotten Tomatoes are counted, considering that GoTG was not a very serious-mattered picture in the first place.

Ewan ko. Siguro, noong panahon na nagba-bye na talaga ito sa ere (noong nakaraang Christmas at New Year holiday yun, to be exact), at marami ang nanlumo sa lungkot. At isa na dun ang inyong lingkod.

Oo nga naman. Bakit nagpaalam na sila sa ere? Sa panahon na mas kailangan ng tao ang mga palabas na nagbibigay ng isang malaking package ng aliw, kaalaman, opinyon sa nakararami, BAKIT?????!!!

If wrestling is only for tough guys (how we wish, right?), well, think again.

As much as we would like to think of any sort of hardcore awesomeness thing like professional wrestling, we're in the reality where kids younger than we are (during our respective childhood eras) have much louder fan voice. No wonder why they're a fan of John Cena (sometimes, “fuck PG” was all I can say).

And maybe, 'cause everything is all in the power of your hands, so was this child. His name is Connor Michalek, a then-six year old wrestling fan on Pennsylvania, whose battling a tumor that affected both his brain and spinal column.

Apparently, this was a super-late post made through my drafts. Yes, it's been stuck for a year. Now, I know that Spiderman and X-Men were ruling the superhero movie scene (no doubt). But since I'll publish this on everyone's favorite throwback day named as Thursday, oh, well...

I heard some comparisons between superheroes on which of them really emerged for this year. A little says “Iron Man is the coolest.” And the other would say “No. Superman is always way better than iron Man.”

Though I have to admit – comparing these two toughies may be unfair, as:

It seems rare that a movie franchise will set their fifth sequel nowadays, considering that people’s expectation usually looms up, which also means that disappointments can even occur more frequently.

And we’re not even talking about either action or horror here, huh?; but a dance-themed drama instead.

Look, Step Up All In was the fifth Step Up movie ever filmed since its formal inception in 2007, with the previous instalment came just a little bit less two years ago. And I remember watching that flick over HBO with that flashy mob.
