Docdef Productions staged their monthly
gig at Route 196 in Quezon City; and it promised to be a heck of a
Friday night to, at least, remember this September. This time, it was
called Eurythmic.

Curtain Call: Boy by Anna Ziegler
Tanghalang Ateneo opened their 38th
season titled De/Constructing Narratives with a bang as they staged
the first international premiere of a thought-provoking Boy by Anna
Ziegler.
The Rundown Slam: WWE Hell In A Cell 2016
We got triple main event matches that
make this RAW-exclusive PPV as historically big as it gets. And why
not? They were staging the 2016 edition of WWE's Hell In A Cell at
the epic TD Garden in Boston, the place where the dominating Boston
Celtics lives on.
But is it really epic or just plain
dragging, considering the entire program lasted for five freaking
hours; almost equalizing SummerSlam for that matter. They had an hour
for the pre-show, 3 hours and 16 minutes for the main program and
around 43 minutes for the fallout-like RAW Talk. While the
programming has been making drastic changes (thanks to the WWE
Network), five hours of wrestling in a Sunday can be really dragging,
unless it's WrestleMania time.
Anyway, let's just slam the rundown,
shall we?

PlayBack: An Honest Mistake - We're Alright
10/07/2016 12:39:55 AM
One of my friends from the synth pop
known as Paranoid City tipped me into this. This is one of their
friends they met in that big event held at Cebu City a few years ago.
And later on, they were doing gigs both on the countries Malaysia,
Philippines and even South Korea – in the recently Zandari Festa.
An Honest Mistake is a punk rock band
from Malaysia. And they were rocking their homeland since 2008. But
it was only this year when they released a single under major label
Universal Music Malaysia.
Flick Review: Baka Siguro Yata
10/07/2016 01:18:44 AM
Baka Siguro Yata is one of the first films I have seen here at Cinema '76. This 2015 Cinema One Original entry featured one of the best comedy flicks fit enough for family viewing. Talk about depicting love in multiple and more than romantical aspects, somewhat we might have seen in some of the mainstream rom-com movies.

The Scene Around: Parokya Ni Edgar Pogi Years Old Album Launch
10/22/2016 11:51:40 AM
It was a rocking Sunday evening at the Eastwood Central Plaza in Quezon City as Universal Records Philippines staged the formal launching of Parokya Ni Edgar's first studio album in six years titled Pogi Years Old.

PlayBack: Daft Punk - Random Access Memories (album)
Perhaps, it's no surprise why the French duo Daft Punk has been making exceptionally-good music since the 90s. The album Random Access Memories proved to be a living testament to it.

Flick Review: Ma'Rosa
10/07/2016 01:32:24 AM
I admit. I wasn't really a fan of the renowned director Brillante Mendoza nor have seen some of his works in reel form (unless you count the State of the Nation Address as one).

The Scene Around: Neighborhood Sessions
Cow and Chicken Grill staged a Thursday
gig to cap September 2016, and it resulted into some sorts of a
rocking welcome.

The Scene Around: How I Met Your Mama
MamaMo Productions debuted in the gig
held at Route 196 in Quezon City on Friday 15 July 2016. And it
sounded like your favorite TV show.

PlayBack: Tanya Markova - Ang Darling Kong Zombie
Mukha man silang gaya ng mga sinauna
nilang musika (na medyo madilim, er, dark goth pop rock na whatever),
tunog bago naman dahil sa panibagong single ito ng banda na kilala
natin sa pangalang Tanya Markova.

PlayBack: Autotelic - Papunta Pabalik (Album)
From making J-rock inspired pop music
that turned every gig into an instant mosh pit session, Autotelic
has evolved from being a heavyweight indie band to a pop-rock “iyak
sayaw” musicians when they signed with the MCA Music, And just
months later, things were moving to the fast lane as this six-piece
squad just released their debut album under the major label – and
it's called “Papunta Pabalik.”
The Pre-take: WWE Hell In A Cell 2016
Photo credits: Den of Geek |
Basically, I shouldn't been doing PPV
predictions since I end up having pre-takes for the RAW-exclusive
events instead of both (largely, thanks to the cable channel since
they have only those stuffs available).
But anyway, since one of my smarky
friends swore allegiance to satisfy my cravings for professional
wrestling... okay, might as well do this shit.
Hell is coming once again, and this
time it was all red and exclusive as WWE's Monday Night RAW will be
staging three matches inside the pay-per-view event we all liked to
call Hell in a Cell.

The Scene Around: Monster Indie Ground 2
Monster RX 93.1 is giving the country's
music scene a much even stronger exposure courtesy of Indie Ground, a
music program that gives several bands from the indies a chance to be
heard in the metro-wide radio.
And that being said, Monster Indie
Ground staged three bar tours during their anniversary month (August
2016). Yours truly managed to storm by Black Kings Bar at West
Triangle in Quezon City for the second leg of the event.

The Shot
It was the shot that seeming
neutralized what has been a bunch of negative hypes that surrounded
the league for the past season. Imagine one crowd-favorite team has
finally made it to the promised land – a bit earlier from what has
been expected from them.
