These pyranometers installed at the Manila Observatory on the Ateneo de Manila University campus in Quezon City, Metro Manila, are used to measure actual solar radiation for comparison with forecast projections. Directly benefiting the Philippines’ solar power, agriculture, and other industries, an international team of researchers led by the Ateneo de Manila University and the Manila Observatory has pioneered a way to improve sunny weather forecasts by as much as 94%.

Demonstrating the power of FlutterFlow to accelerate development, the hackathon reinforced FFDG Manila’s mission to inspire Filipino tech talent and drive positive social change. FlutterFlow played a pivotal role in the hackathon, empowering participants to rapidly develop their ideas into functional apps through its intuitive drag-and-drop interface and powerful features. The platform enabled teams to focus on innovation and problem-solving without getting bogged down in complex coding.

Excessive groundwater extraction, rapid urbanization, tectonic motion, and the natural compaction of sediments contribute to land subsidence worldwide. This issue is worsened by rising sea levels due to climate change, leading to frequent and severe flooding especially during high tides or typhoons, as well as local contexts of hazard management regulations.
